There is a neat house facing the ocean right next to the Cypress Inn On Miramar Beach (Media Ave at Mirada Rd). The house has random shingle siding on it and the front yard is filled the succulents.

In case anyone was wondering, August’s “Weird Boy” image this week is a photo of his cousin, Ian. They are best friends and were hamming it up with August’s camera. I love the the lighting and playfulness of the photo. And, of course, I love both of these grandchildren—as well as my other two (Elliot and Isla).
